In 1965 the Bulgarian violin maker Andrian Andreev was born in Kazanlak, the capital city of the famous Rose Valley. In the early 90's he studied at the International Violin Making School "Antonio Stradivari" in Cremona. In 1997 he created his own workshop "Cremonenfis Art Studio" in Kazanlak.
Marco Anedda is an Italian violin maker member of the Tuscan Violin Making Association (ALT).
Once he graduated from the violin making school of Gubbio, he worked two years in Sorgentone & Mecatti Workshop in Florence.
From 2005 onwards he works in Monterchi, near Arezzo (Tuscany) where he makes stringed instruments (violins, violas and cellos) in his own workshop.

Gaspar Borchardt, born in 1961, went to Cremona from Germany in 1984 where he later graduated from the International Violin Making School. Much of his knowledge about violinmaking comes from his friend and master Alessandro Crillovi.
Since 1990 he is working together with his wife in his current workshop in Cremona, looking out onto Piazza Duomo, the central square of Cremona.
Sibylle Fehr-Borchardt studied for four years with Master Francesco Bissolotti in his workshop. They work for international musicians of all the world and between their customers there are many young soloists and concertmasters.
They use own models and the traditional making system used by Antonio Stradivari and known as "Sistema Cremonese". Being sure that the beauty of the old great instruments is a consequence of acoustical needs, they use outlines, archings and varnish with specific acoustical functions, obtaining surprising outcomes in terms of optical appearence.

Scott Cao is a well known violin maker, who has built up in China a company of manufacture instruments beside his own master production. Soloists like Nigel Kennedy are playing his master instruments. His instruments are often built after the models of Cremonese, Stradivari or Guarnerius del Gesú.
Raoul.H .Chouard was born 1951 in Paris. After his studies at the "Sorbonne"- university in Paris he learned guitar making and violin making with W.J. VOGT. Since 1978 he has his own workshop in Freising, close to Munich.
Lately H.R. Chouard developed the D.A.C Violin Bridge; it opens new dimensions of Clarity, Responsivness, Richness , Presence.
Chouard is worldwide the only manufakturer of the fine tunable guitar: FRET MOBIL.
Alessandro Ciciliati studied double bass performance in Ferrara and Bologna. With the celebrated violin maker Ivano Coratti he studied the techniques of classical violin making. He participated in national and international competitions and always won various prizes.

Alessandro Di Matteo graduated at the Academy of Music in Lviv in Ukraine in 1982. Once graduated he assumed the role of first violinist in the Symphonic Orchestra in Yalta, Ukraine. In 1988 he graduated at "Antonio Stradivari" International School of Violinmakers in Cremona, and began his professional career as a violinmaker. His skill was perfected under the guidance of renowned masters such as G. Scolari, S. Conia and A. Krylov.
Cristiano Ferrazzi learned violin making with Bruno Montagne in Verona and studied bow making with the celebrated G. Lucchi in Cremona. In 1989 he was the prize winner in the Baveno National Competition. Cristiano Ferrazzi uses his own models for his instruments appreciated by professionals all over the world.

Karin Grobel-Eneh studied violin making in Germany and England. Since 1995 she has her own workshop in Tampere (Finland).
Felix Habel came to Italy in 1992 where he learnt his skills at the Violin Making School of Cremona. Since his childhood he was interested in constructing electrical violins which he perfected until today with a wonderful result named CETVS-line.
Andreas Haensel works in China as a teacher for violin making. As a musician he combines ancient instruments with modern pop and rock music.

Boris Haug was born in 1973 in Bonn. In 1995 he went to Cremona and studied violin making (with Giorgio Scolari and Michele Dobner).
In 2001 he opened his own workshop in Sassocorvaro. Since 2005 he also works in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and supervises the maintance of the instruments of the National Orchestra.

In 1990 he has taken part the Bagnacavallo Competition, receiving the second prize with a cello. In 1991, at the Baveno Competition, he received the first prize with a viola. In 1992, at the Bagnacavallo Competition, he received a gold medal with a violin. In 1996, he was second at the Competition "A violin for a musician", organized by the Consortium of Violin & Bowmakers Cremona. In 1997, at the Baveno Competition, he received a special prize with a violin. In 2000 he got the Special Prize, with a violin, for Violinworkmanship of the Violin Society of America, Fort Mitchell, USA. In 2001 he received the first prize (gold medal) at the VIII Violinmaking International Competition of Baveno with a cello; with the same instrument he also got the special "Baveno Prize". In the 2004 he took partin "International Concourse of Violin Making Etienne Vatelot" and he came finalist for a violoncello.
Arty Iskandarian lives as violin maker in Lebanon. Many prominent soloists have played his instruments.

Ulf Kloo studied violin making in Leksand, Sweden. 1990 he established his own workshop in Karlskrona. His Instruments were exhibited in Cremona and London. He also makes baroque instruments
When only 12 years old, Konrad Kohlert made in his father's workshop his first violin. When he was only 15 years old he started his apprenticeship with master violin maker Ernst-Hendrikrich Roth, Bubenreuth.
Since 1997 he has his own workshop in Forchheim.

Gottfried Raabs started to work at the company Roth in Bubenreuth. In 1981 he founded his own workshop and was specialized in violas. In 1980, 1984 and 1985 he won with his violas several prices at competitions in Germany and abroad.
Since 1985 Claudio Ricca works as violin maker. He studied in Cremona. Now he has his own workshop in Roma. Among the bowed instruments Claudio also builds and restores guitars and mandolins.
Mattia Paolo Riva was born in Varese (Italy) in 1972.
He studied violin making at the "Civica Scuola di Liuteria" in Milan, and then he collaborated with M° Marco Piccinotti. Since 2003 he works as an independent violin maker.

Romy Rode was born 1981 in Reichenbach, Vogtland.
In 2004 she became the youngest German violin maker to graduate from Nuremberg as a Master. Her graduation piece, a viola, received a special prize at the 5th International Violin and Bow Making Competition in Mittenwald. Her instruments are very much in demand with professional musicians.

Davide Sora was born in 1964. In 1982, he got his degree at the International Violin Making School of Cremona, where he runs his own workshop with his wife Annamaria Menta since 1986. Sora was awarded several times in the „Triennale Internazionale di Cremona“.

Born in 1978 in Erlangen. At the age of 17 he started working as a violin maker. In 2005 he established his own workshop in Breitbrunn near Bamberg. In the International Violin Makers Competition in Mittenwald he won spezial prize for a cello made after the Davidoff of Stradivari.
Laura Vigato is a Cremona trained violin maker working in Brescia, Italy. She is following the design of the Cremonese and Brescia Schools beside restoration of old instruments.
Günter Waldau is master violin maker in Bubenreuth. In 1996 he won the first prize at the "Leistungswettbewerb der Handwerksjugend".
Waldau's permanent exchange with musicians and fellow violin makers result in instruments of great tonal qualities combined with a vast response and equilibrium.
